FOOD FIX - COCONUT-MATCHA-TAHINI SMOOTHIE BOWL
Unless you've been hiding under a rock for the last year, you have noticed that smoothie bowls are all the rage! We are still waiting for someone to tell us that they are actually categorized as desserts, they taste that good.
Our ultimate favorite guru that we look to for anything healthy and smoothie related, is Allison Wu. Allison runs a blog titled Wu Haus that has a focus on healthy recipes, self-care and total body wellness, plus her instagram has us swooning with amazing food imagery and the ultimate guide on how to take a gorgeous and relaxing bath.
One of our favorite recipes we have tried recently is her Coconut-Matcha-Tahini Smoothie bowl. One of our favorite ingredients in our skincare routine, coconut, is also amazing for your body. Coconut oil is high in natural saturated fats which increase the healthy cholesterol in your body and also help convert the LDL “bad” cholesterol into good cholesterols. By increasing the HDL in the body, it helps promote heart health and lower the risk of heart disease.
