With origins in Southeast Asia, tea seed oil—from the seeds of the Camellia sinensis, the plant from which all teas are made—was adopted by Japanese geishas as a backstage staple to remove their iconic makeup and nourish their porcelain skin. Warm 3 to 4 drops in your hands, then press your palms against your cheeks and forehead, and finish by gently patting your nose and chin.
For a skin brightening cleansing mask, apply to dry skin and leave on for 3-5 minutes. Then splash with warm water and gently massage. Rinse well.
