A temperate forest immerses the skin with moisture as you walk through trails of western red cedars and mushrooms tucked under old growth. Along the waterways, wild roses peak through the shrubbery and giant sea kelp sway in the ocean waves.

Snow mushroom paired with sea kelp lends a stronger, more flexible film than hyaluronic acid, creating a second-skin hydration barrier. The layering of whole plant extracts to further soothe, diminish scarring, brighten, and protect against oxidative damage. Probiotic derivatives (postbiotic) and prebiotics can calm reactivity by strengthening the microbiome.

Being essential oil free, the scent is natural with earthy, sweet notes from wild rose and red cedar hydrosols.

One of the key hydration elements used is a COSMOS-approved biological active extracted from Snow Mushroom. An initial small clinical test using Hyaluronic Acid as the control tested better for both initial hydration and improving the skin's natural ability to hold hydration longer.

You may notice an initial tackiness due to the combination of snow mushroom, sea kelp, marshmallow, and licorice but absorbs quickly. This is actually a good thing when working with plant-based humectants as you want intact mucilage compounds. Together they create a film on the skin to bind water and work with your natural oils (or added moisturizer) to improve the barrier’s repairing and protective functions.

Once dried it leaves the skin powdery soft, with a more matte finish. For those that produce excess oil, this could be used as a moisturizer on its own. Helping to balance without stripping the skin.

The biome strengthening aspect comes from prebiotics (which many of our products have due to the type of plants we use) along with a new probiotic derivative (postbiotics). Feeding your existing biome with prebiotics where postbiotics give an opportunity to diversify the flora. In early research, this approach has been shown to help increase hydration significantly and calm inflamed skin.

Suitable for all skin types. After cleansing and mists, apply 1-2 pumps to damp skin. Layer under your favorite moisturizer, oil, and/or balm to seal in all the hydration. Can be used day and night.
